The Reliable Pet Company (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal information you share with us through this website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you place an order, create an account or contact us we may collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number and the details of your order or enquiry. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment provider (Stripe) — we never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
We use your information to process and deliver your orders, respond to enquiries about products or pet care services, manage your account, and — only where you have opted in — to send occasional updates about new treats, markets and the gift-box launch. Our lawful bases are the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running the business, and your consent for marketing.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the suppliers that help us run the shop — our payment processor (Stripe), our delivery couriers, and our email/hosting providers — and only as far as needed to fulfil your order. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes (typically six years). Account and marketing data is kept until you ask us to remove it or withdraw consent.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw marketing consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email jo@reliablepetcompany.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
